What we store on your device, and why.
The minimum needed for this website to work, plus analytics only where you have agreed. Nothing here is used to advertise to you elsewhere.
The short version: essential cookies keep the site working. Analytics cookies are optional and are only set if you agree. You can block or clear either kind in your browser at any time.
This page is the detail behind clause 11 of our privacy policy.
1. What this covers
This policy explains which cookies and similar technologies MyRoute uses on this website, why we use them, and how you can control them. It should be read with our privacy policy.
The MyRoute apps do not use website cookies. They use device identifiers for crash reporting and product analytics, which you can reset or limit in your device settings.
3. Cookies we need
These are set so the website can function — for example to remember a cookie-preference choice, to keep a security token, or to load the page you asked for. They do not profile you and they are not used for advertising.
You can block them in your browser, but parts of the site may then stop working.
4. Analytics cookies
Where you have agreed, we use analytics cookies to see which pages are opened, how long they are read, and where a visit started. The data is aggregated. It is not used to target you with ads on other sites.
These cookies are only set after you agree. Declining them, or clearing them later, does not change how the rest of the site works.
5. How to control cookies
You can control cookies in three places:
- The cookie banner on this website, if it is shown, to accept or decline analytics.
- Your browser settings — most browsers let you block all cookies, block third-party cookies, or delete cookies already stored.
- Your device privacy settings, for the identifiers used inside the MyRoute apps.
Blocking or deleting cookies does not stop you using MyRoute, except where a cookie is essential for a specific feature.
6. How long they last
Session cookies are deleted when you close the browser. Persistent cookies last for a set period — typically up to 12 months for analytics — and then expire. You can delete them sooner from your browser.
7. Changes to this policy
We update this policy when the cookies we use, or the law, change. The date at the top always reflects the current version.
